We work in the most amazing place with 200 acres of returning wild forest; the village that looks up to the sky.
A purpose built ceremonial village; with temples and roundhouses, handcrafted by the Spirit Horse tribe for ceremonial celebration and the timeless return home (to oneself and to nature!) Amongst our village, we are delighted to share;
- A hand built sauna, beside a river
- A sweat lodge
- Men's dedicated lodge
- Women's dedicated lodge
- The Red Temple; the sacred space where the work we do is shared
- A meadow dedicated to the ancestors
- An emerald pool, far away into the rocks and mountains and beauty of the Welsh wonders
- Two rivers that meet
- Multiple waterfalls and natural spring bathing pools
Here you will find the returning face of the Goddess; Mother Earth. The healing that can happen by simply being in nature is huge in itself. We are incredibly lucky to share this space with the birds, breath and beauty of nature, and with you. It is a wild, natural village. A ceremonial community of poetry, praise, altars, singing waters, smoke and forest. The invitation and welcome is to this ancient fire.
Tantra, Woman and the Body
In the surrendered body, we play with supreme relaxation, allowing our sexual and spiritual energy body to mingle, soften, heal, open and flower into awakening. Woman is the teacher here.
After the thousands of years of suppression the true feminine is re-awakening, sexually and spiritually. We are seeing in our lifetime a broken world in chaos and the possibility of a long awaited healing, awakening and flowering of both ourselves on our individual journey and this bruised and dishonoured earth that birthed us.
The ecstatic paths of the old goddess religions were pushed underground, along with our individul, tribal, sexual and spiritual freedoms. A controlling patriarchal and fearful shadow held sway and still affects us individually and as a culture. The ancient traditions of honouring, loving and celebrating being here may live again
Do not question woman, Adore her everywhere....
....in this empirical world wisdom has taken the form of woman
All the pilgrimage places are to be found on her body
Listen friend - this body is his dulcimer
Reclaim Your House
Come to explore this awakening, this renewal in your own body. Explore who you are. Start right where you are. Make your own rules. Be your own authority. Reclaim your territory, your freedom, your garden and your own unique flowering.
Our culture is about doing instead of simply being. Personal growth is often about gaining, adding to our knowledge, experiences, hoping to be stronger, more secure. Surrender is about allowing, without resistance, whatever is naturally, intrinsically there to surface and be. This is moving beyond effort and control into unknown, unfolding movement of the moment.
It calls us to be brave, accepting and willing to feel and be with whatever we discover on our journey. We may have to face our old traumas, our fears, the desperate decisions we made in childhood that have now slipped into unconsciously being part of us. We may have to decide to be true adults alert and awake to the moment and refusing to hide in old defensive patterns.
ALL YOUR DOING HAS LEAD YOU FURTHER FROM YOURSELF. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TOTALLY ALLOW YOUR BEING AND YOUR BODY TO FOLLOW IT’S OWN NATURAL WISDOM?
When we let go of thought, we enter the effortless world, where our true being may be glimpsed and lived.
The valley spirit never dies,
it is the woman, primal, mother,
her gateway is the root of heaven and earth.
It is like a veil barely seen.
Use it it will never fail
Who is it for?
People who want to heal, relax, open, enjoy, recover, give, receive, weep, giggle, face fear, accept pleasure, accept love, accept themselves, release old patterns, feel, tune in to others, tune into themselves, love, honour, enter the unknown, trust deeper currents of excitment, longing and desire.
People who are willing to explore all that they are with vulnerability and integrity. It may also be helpful for those stuck in their enquiry, meditation or expansion and growth generally. And those willing to let go and enter life beyond bounds.
We have within us both male and female.
These practises allow us to open to what is actually happening at subtle levels right now, beyond our fixed identifications, genders or limited ideas of ourselves. Together we explore a fluid, reverential approach to our sexuality, ruled by a immediate freshness and curiosity rather than stale judgement.
No need to get hung up on labels. Contact your energy at source and let it move. It has it’s own wisdom, its own love. And it knows what to do.
The Inner Woman and Inner Man.
Our sexuality manifests in poles of attraction whether beguiling, troublesome or divine play. The secret consort is within us. A quest of discovery awaiting us.
Most men could do with delving deeper, to discover the inner woman. And acknowledge the fear of the wild woman that our controlling culture has upheld.
Many women, after acknowledging the rage, may be surprised at what is encountered when the secret layers of their wild natural soul are invited back to the sunlit garden.
So much of the old religion is rooted in the worship of the feminine. And this feminine, this goddess of energy, lives evidently or secretly in the physical and psychic roots of both men and women. It is however most evidently radiant in woman.
THE ROAD OF OUR ANCESTORS - HOW WE CAME TO BE WHO WE ARE
To know who we are we should know something of our origins. Enough to honour them in an intelligent manner. And once we become real people; to revere the sacred intelligence of the wild that has made us.
We once lived in small groups of about 150, intimately, sharing everything, working very little, having miles of leisure. We were co operating intensively, breathing with nature in bodies we inhabited deeply. Knowledge came from life in the natural world, intuition and living. We are still those same people today, only locked into suits and jobs and stories of who we are that do not serve us. That are not true.
To know who we are we need to to look at where we come from. With intelligence, with open minds and the deep memory of the body. And with bodies that are alive, aware, sensitive.
The feminine has been dominated out of fear, instead of worshipped and honoured and fully allowed. But this is a relatively new thing. This disaster is not our nature. We have not changed fundamentally in many thousands of years. What we ate, drank, and did, for fifty or a hundred millennia, is still good for us. And how we were socially were over those many millennia is still how we want to be. It is still “home”. Evolution moves only over many millennia. Culture moves much quicker, but that is merely the veneer over our original nature. Much of the culture of the last two thousand years has been a controlling, demanding, enslaving, shaming veneer. Individuals, societies and the natural world is in pain because of it. Time to step out.
Christopher Ryan has written a wonderful, provocative, meticulously researched book; “Sex at Dawn.” In it he demolishes the “standard narrative” of human sexual behaviour and points out our ancient origins as small groups of highly co operative sharing hunter gatherers. Our original nature, pre agriculture and pre industry is still there - hardly intact but alive somehow, buried under layers of dubious control.
Ryan (co writing with his long term partner) demolishes the idea of long term monogamous marriage in isolation as “natural”. He uses thorough anthropological and biological research to question to the core this controlling fallacy and gestures towards a sexuality is much broader, untameable and where woman is freed of male control. Pointing out that many people struggle to fit them selves into something that doesn’t fit. He only hints at what natural sexuality might look like - but it’s a brilliant hint!
Before this new era, to which our bodies have NOT adjusted - we did not compete- we shared. We were comfortable in nature. We were nature. We were not at war with it. We were at home. Socially we are still the same creatures finding ourselves happy in small mutually supportive groups. The isolated couple didn’t exist.
Before this new era, to which our bodies have NOT adjusted - we shared. We were comfortable in nature. We were nature. We were not at war with it. We were at home. Socially we are still the same creatures finding ourselves relaxed and happy in small mutually supportive groups.
Natural societies that haven’t been pushed over the edge world wide have lively rich cultures where through ritual space and their natural connection, emotions, feelings and sexuality are not strangled into a safe banality. The innate ability to sing, dance, scream and play out the grief filled ecstatic song of life remains. And what we were up to sexually is a garland of secret flowers whose fragrance was forgotten long ago. Somewhere in your body you know it! Feel it now as it is spoken of!
Life is relationship. Relating is living. Living close to nature is a joy. Being at home in our bodies is a joy. Repressing our natural bodies, including our sexuality, how we are actually feeling, our wilder expressions of emotion or energy is a cultural bind often involving severe repression, shame, guilt and long term damage. Useful in controlling large societies of people. A lifelessness that we have allowed and become inured to pretends to be natural. But it is not. Not the way of heaven.
Our workshops seek to honour the original nature. Couple relationships are respected. Boundaries are respected. The urge to explore is also fully supported.
